He stated that information technology companies draw broad lines for the advertising identity to serve their customers according to various criteria and mechanisms that include studying the market, competitors, and the most influential advertising methods.
He drew attention to the multiplicity of strategies used in digital campaigns that are based on the target audience, the issues to be focused on, and the messages to be delivered. For her part, Director of the Design and E-Marketing Department at an information technology company, Aya Al-Taweel, told KUNA that advertisements through various social media have become the most requested by candidates, especially visual ones. Al-Taweel pointed to the significant impact of social media on electoral campaigns, as it provides the candidate with the opportunity to reach a broader and more diverse audience in cost-effective ways, in addition to direct interaction with voters. She pointed out that opinion polls have become one of the most important tools of information technology companies in similar campaigns, using digital analytics tools and smart technology, which in turn contribute to collecting data more accurately and provide insight into the opinions of voters. Ahmed Al-Mutairi, editor-in-chief of an electronic newspaper, told KUNA that modern media, including electronic newspapers, provide a large flow of information that contributes to shaping the voter’s ideas and attitudes. Al-Mutairi added that anyone who follows the electoral issue will notice that The upcoming National Assembly elections on June 6, 2023 will witness a decline in the number of traditional seminars compared to their predecessors, as candidates in them relied heavily on social media to deliver their messages to their voters directly and effectively.
